Thursday, October 2, 2025 • 10 Tishrei 5786
8:30 AM - 2:00 PMTremont Street Shul and LesleyHigh Holiday Registration is now open! As in previous years, we will be offer 4 services styles at 2 locations. High Holiday services are included with membership and available to non-members on a sliding scale. We ask that everyone who plans to attend, including members, please register in advance so that we can plan for accurate attendance numbers.
The four services we are hosting are:
- Rabbi Harris’ (Egalitarian) services are led by Rabbi Robbie Harris from JTS and by TBS’ own David Sandberg as chazzan. The service uses the Lev Shalem machzor from the Conservative movement and also utilizes microphones for amplification. People of all genders sit together and all Jewish adults count toward a minyan.
- Traditional Egalitarian services are led by members of the community and use the Koren machzor, without microphones or amplification. People of all genders sit together and all Jewish adults can lead services and count toward a minyan.
- Minyan Tehillah (Partnership) services have men and women sitting separately across a mechitza and feature service leadership from both the men’s and women’s sides. Minyan Tehillah also defines a quorum as having at least ten Jewish men and ten Jewish women. The liturgy will follow the Koren machzor.
- Orthodox services follow the liturgy in the Koren machzor and will follow Modern Orthodox Jewish practice. Men and women sit separately across a mechitza, a minyan consists of 10 Jewish men, and only men serve as prayer leaders. The service will incorporate spiritual guidance and teaching from R. Talia Weisberg who will take part in the flow of services and offer reflections throughout.
