Hike with Noah Slovin

Sunday, September 11, 2022 15 Elul 5782

8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Join TBS for an Elul Tshuva hike on which we will reflect on the past year and prepare for the upcoming Yamim Nora'im (High Holidays)! It will be an opportunity to get to know fellow TBS members, will include a couple of activities to add depth and kavana (intention), and of course will include hiking, good views, and quality time in the forest in the early autumn. Please register [here link] if you are interested so we can communicate with you as the date of the hike approaches (registering does not commit you to attending). We will meet at Tremont Street Shul Courtyard at 8:00 a.m. to arrange carpools, and head out at 8:30 a.m. Our destination is the Blue Hills Reservation. The hike itself will be moderate to moderate-hard. It is expected to last 2-3 hours. Hikers of all levels of experience are welcome, as are families and children! We recommend wearing sneakers or hiking shoes, long pants, and a hat. Also bring a liter of water per person and snacks. We will be in touch about weather conditions as the hike date approaches. Noah Slovin will be facilitating the hike, in partnership with the Explore Lech-Lecha Wilderness Adventures program (www.explorelechlecha.org). Noah has been facilitating meaningful Jewish outdoor adventures since 2010 through the Teva Learning Center, Explore Lech-Lecha, and freelance. He will be joined by Z'ev, 19 months, who has less experience but more charisma.
