Family Table

Run by Jewish Family & Children’s Services (JF&CS), Family Table is the largest kosher food pantry in New England. It provides healthy food on a monthly and emergency basis to individuals and families in need and serves over 500 families each month.

The mission of Family Table is to end hunger in the Greater Boston Jewish community while serving people who need our assistance regardless of religious affiliation.

Family Table fulfills its mission by providing kosher food, creating a caring Jewish connection, and empowering people to make healthy eating a part of their daily lives. They do so by offering nutritious groceries, Jewish holiday and ritual items, personal hygiene items, recipes and tastings, and connections to programs that help families move from crisis to stability.

Family Table relies on volunteers from Tremont Street and 70 other Jewish organizations to collect, sort, pack, and deliver groceries for recipients. We are responsible for providing 35 cans of salmon and 35 boxes of crackers every month. Members can contribute to this project by bringing a can of salmon or box of crackers when you come to shul.

If you would like to volunteer: Family Table would welcome your help packing the more than 35,000 bags and made more than 3,300 grocery deliveries to clients each year. You can choose to volunteer just once -- or you can come every month; for more information about volunteering, email familytable@jfcsboston.org.
