Tremont Street Shul Wiki

Temple Beth Shalom was one of the first synagogues in the world to have a Web site. Now most synagogues have one. We are now pioneering a new area: the first (that we know of) Synagogue Wiki. Wiki is a new technology that makes it easy for people create and modify Web content. The basic formatting rules are very simple. Click edit and type in the box provided. Indicate a new paragraph by hitting Return twice. Enclose text in two single quotes (') for italics, three for bold. Click Preview to see how your editing is going; Save when you are done. We hope you will add to this Wiki. Give it a try!

The initial areas on our Wiki are listed below . Feel free to add more:

• Online Bookstore - books by members, recommendations on books for kids and books for adults. As with the other Wiki pages, members can edit the online bookstore to add their own books and recommendations.
• Family Library - A list of books acquired for the Family Library and those still sought.
• Tremont Teachings - personal comments on the portion of the week, recollections of past drashes, insights on the prayer service and other topics.
• Member Recipes - food is a big part of what we are about
• Member Links - Web sites you think others may find interesting
• In Memorium - memories of members who have passed on
• Birthday Songs - One of the traditions at Temple Beth Shalom is to sing birthday wishes in several languages besides English...
