Temple Beth Shalom of Cambridge is also known as the Tremont Street Shul, and the Tremont St. 20s&30s are the "post-college, pre-kindergarten" segment of the Temple Beth Shalom community. Some of us are the "regulars" you'll find at TBS on Shabbat or weekday mornings; others come just once in a while, or only for the 20s&30s events. Most of us live in Cambridge or Somerville; some join us from Brookline, Boston, or even farther afield. We are not a "singles group"! We hold a variety of activities throughout the year, geared toward singles AND couples -- from Shabbat dinners to weeknight "Dine & Discuss" events to social gatherings. If you're looking to become part of an active and warm community of young Jewish adults, we hope you'll come hang out with us sometime. AdministriviaDemographics: Tremont St. 20s&30s events are geared toward young Jewish adults (couples and singles) in the 21-39 age range, in the Cambridge/Somerville area. Prepayment: For all weekday events, admission is payable at the door. For events taking place on Shabbat or holidays, we cannot accept money at the door, so reservations MUST be paid in advance. Prepaid reservations may be submitted online for 20s&30s Shabbat dinners and TBS Community Shabbat Dinners (for other special events, check the event listing on the calendar). Alternatively, you may RSVP by phone (617-575-9827) or e-mail, then mail in your check payable to Temple Beth Shalom, 8 Tremont St., Cambridge, MA 02139. Please include the names of all people for whom you are reserving, and at least one contact phone number or e-mail address. Children of all ages are welcome at our events, and children under 13 may attend at 1/2 the adult rate (no charge for children under 4). Event costs: We work hard to keep our event admission manageable for all. "Student" rates are also open to the low-income, unemployed, and others for whom the regular event cost is financially prohibitive. Contact the 20s&30s Committee Chairs for information. Housing posts are a regular feature of our 20s&30s email announcements, especially in the spring and summer. If you are seeking an apartment share, or have a vacancy, please email your listing (1-2 paragraphs including your contact information and a bit about what you're looking for, such as neighborhood, target rent, and kashrut/shabbat requirements) to the 20s&30s Committee Chairs.
